Particularly in urban environments, rats tend to spend the majority of their time below ground in the sewer system.

Any break in what should be a sealed system can provide an opportunity for rats to enter the fabric of buildings, often resulting in severe, ongoing issues due to a direct route from the sewer system into buildings.

Common faults that we can detect, advise on and remedy include breaks in pipes, damaged inspection chambers, built over chambers and disused lines.

Quite often, sections of private drainage can be isolated from the main sewer using one-way valves and in many cases this may make camera inspections unnecessary. During an initial property inspection we will advise on all potential entry points both above and below ground and develop a plan tailored to your individual property, only recommending treatments and drain work that is absolutely required.

We can often partially diagnose issues over the phone and quote for any necessary work. The first step may well be an above ground inspection although we might advise going straight ahead with other measures depending on the particular nature of your issue.
